Swim Team Upcoming Events

Hello swim families,

For all of you involved with the swim team, here is some important information on several items for this and next week.

Friday, July 7 – Guest Swim Coaches (Fairfax Foxes):  The Foxes coaches will be on hand to conduct a stroke clinic and provide information about their AWESOME club swim program (we are a little biased, but they live up to the hype!).  Adjusted practice times: 8:30 – 9:15 (8 & unders & Little Rats); 9:15 – 10:15 (13 -18 yr olds); 10:15 – 11:00 (9-12 yr olds)

Monday, July 10 – Pictures @ 9:30am:  Please arrive at 9:15am in swimsuits so we can get started right away.  We will begin with the team picture, and then individual pictures.  NO PRACTICE ON MONDAY.

Wednesday, July 12 – King’s Dominion:  Enjoy a day at King’s Dominion on your own, and meet up with teammates and coaches for a group picture / coaster ride.  Discount tickets available – see the attached flyer.  Coordinate carpools / rides with your friends.  Please join the Remind text chain to get important in-park updates by texting @rfd2023k to 81010

Thursday, July 13 – Progressive Dinner:  Rising 8th graders and above travel the neighborhood for appetizers, main course, and dessert, capping the night off with a serious game of manhunt.  We start the evening with a group picture at 5:30 – 5:45pm at the pool.  See the details on the Swimtopia calendar.  PLEASE RSVP so we can get an idea of how many teens to expect.

Friday, July 14 – Lip Sync Pep Rally:  An RFD tradition!  Watch our talented swimmers and divers lip sync and dance to their favorite tunes, including the coaches!  Swimmers/Divers should limit performances to 2 minutes.  Please email your song selection to (title and artist) to [email protected] .  This is one you don’t want to miss!
